How to compare charge price: do not just look for the lowest number per kWh
The price per kWh is the beginning, not the end of the comparison. For one trip the monthly fee, roaming price, starting or time fee and currency rate can be decided. Always compare the same payment method and the same date of verification.
Procedure in four steps
- Separate the ad- hoc payment directly from the operator's price through the card or roaming.
- Compare the price in the target network, not the general marketing tariff of the program.
- Add the regular fee and the conditions under which the card will be paid to you.
- Check out the date of verification, the currency and any time or starting fee.
Model situation with no made-up amounts
A driver who charges once a month can pay differently than a person who regularly drives across borders. There is no universally cheapest card. The useful question is: "How much kWh will I take from specific networks and what will I pay in total including a flat-rate card?"
What to watch out for
- The dynamic price cannot be replaced by one static number.
- An older price list may be useful as a context, but there is no price for today's transaction.
- The roaming price may differ from the ad- hoc price at the same stand.

What to check before departure
- the current price and the way in which the application or price list of the particular operator is launched;
- the status of the station in the operator application, if provided;
- for foreign travel, the payment method, roaming and any blocking fee;
- own battery reserve according to weather, speed, cargo and actual car consumption.
WattBreak works with public data and date of verification. It does not display the live availability of the stand unless it has a verified realtime source.
WattBreak can get commission if you choose to use an explicitly marked partner link. Partner never changes the order of stations, price in the overview or background assessment. How we work with partner links.
